Operating System
I use Arch Linux. I have fallen in love Arch ever since I have used it. I love it's modular nature and the control it gives me over my system. And the AUR is invaluable. I use yay as my package manager.
Desktop Environment
KDE Plasma. Extensively customizable, as all software should be. I also used to use bismuth to make KDE act as a tiling window manager, but it was a little too quirky (though still perfectly usable).
My KDE Plasma theme
- Plasma Style & Icons: Colloid
- Application Style: Lightly
Here are a few screenshots of my desktop. Notice how the color scheme changes with the wallpaper - KDE Plasma is so beautiful!
Theme Switching
To switch automatically between light and dark mode, I used to use koi, but have since settled for a more customized self-written script.
Video Player
Windows
There are times when I'm forced to use Windows: some document that just won't work with LibreOffice, my printer that doesn't support Linux, etc. I have created a virtual machine with VirtualBox of Tiny10 - a bloatware-free, telemetry-free, lightweight version of Windows 10.
